Have You Just Received a Dementia Diagnosis? This message is for you

This video is for individuals who have just received a diagnosis of mild cognitive impairment, Alzheimer's, Lewy Body, frontotemporal degeneration, primary progressive aphasia or another form of dementia.

3 things I'd encourage you to do:

- Think about what is important to you - are there particular things you want to do, or maybe you want to slow down

- Spend some time to process, to grieve, to speak your voice, to journal, to talk with a counselor

- If you haven't already, it would be good to get some important documents together
